“Love, a sugar pistol.
it's a menace sometimes.”
Drive me to Darwin, near Paanamint mining
town, I’ll show you what I mean. We will
climb to the waterfall there. It’s beautiful,
but you will see scorpions and rattlesnakes,
the rocks are sharp and loose.
Naathan’s friend, Jeremy, is a
paramedic out there. He told me that a
few people have fallen down the ravine.
I’ll bet the waterfall is eighty feet
high. It falls in a deep pool surrounded
by desert flowers and cactus. We could
swim there, if you want. Wild burros
drink there, and hundreds of birds live
in the shady cliffs.
The water runs about two miles down
the ravine, but evaporates before reaching
the highway.
